American University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in ecohydrology beginning in Fall 2011. Those whose work includes a public health component such as infectious disease dynamics, transport of human toxicants, etc., are also encouraged to apply.

Applicants must have a PhD with preference given to those with post-doctoral experience. We also welcome applications from individuals already in tenure-track positions. Successful candidate will be expected to have or develop a competitive, externally funded research program and contribute to teaching, advising, and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.

Review of applications will begin December 17, 2010. Candidates should send an application letter outlining research interests, teaching experience and philosophy; a CV; and up to three sample publications. Three letters of reference should be sent directly from the referees.
